Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Lilke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max Riley is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Justin Lilke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Riley! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lilke shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Riley wants to get back to his feet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Riley can do anything to dispel that myth. Riley kicks off Lilke and gets to his feet. Justin Lilke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lilke shoots in and bounces Riley off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard. Riley wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Lilke manages to pass to side control. Lilke is pressing down on Riley's thigh, looking to free his foot. Riley is holding on for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riley is looking for a sweep. Lilke is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lilke is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Riley blocking the ground and pound attempt from Lilke. Riley is trying to get back to full guard. Riley is looking to control Lilke's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Riley avoid being mounted?
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Lilke wants to stand up but Riley manages to regain full guard. Riley wants to stand but Lilke is controlling the position. Lilke looking to sit in guard and control but Riley gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Riley thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Riley is looking to stand up but Lilke won't let him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lilke is trying to control the position but Riley postures up. Riley trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Riley working some strikes from top position. Lilke avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Riley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Lilke preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Riley is working Lilke over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Lilke is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Riley throwing strikes from guard but Lilke blocks nicely. Riley throws a big right hand that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Riley loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Lilke looking for a sweep. Not yet Lilke, not yet. Riley looking to pass the guard. Riley is looking to stand up but Lilke won't let him. Riley trying to control but Lilke is working from the bottom. Lilke is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Riley fails with a takedown attempt. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lilke gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Riley to score an easy takedown into full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Max Riley will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Lilke drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Lilke stands up from guard. Let's bang! Lilke darts in and clinches Riley up against the ropes. Riley has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lilke avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Lilke gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Riley regains guard.
Riley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Riley wants to stand and escape but Lilke is having none of it. Riley has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lilke drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Riley dives on top into guard. Lilke keeping full guard, as Riley tries to pass. Riley is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lilke has momentary wrist control but Riley slips an elbow through the middle. Lilke looking for a sweep. Not yet Lilke, not yet. Riley landing some decent shots from guard. Riley trying to control the position from guard on top but Lilke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Riley tries to free his leg and advance position but Lilke is retaining full guard. Lilke wants to sweep but no luck. Lilke controlling Riley's posture. Lilke wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Riley throwing strikes from guard but Lilke blocks nicely. Riley stands and throws Lilke's legs to the side, diving into side control. Riley is working Lilke over with some ground and pound from side control. Justin Lilke overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lilke takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Lilke parries the strikes from Riley easily there. Riley is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Lilke to escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Riley in side control, throwing shots but Lilke defends. The strikes coming from Riley are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Riley in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Lilke can't do much from the bottom here. Lilke wants to get back to his feet. Riley is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lilke knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Riley thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Riley throwing strikes but Lilke manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Lilke advances nicely into full mount. Lilke tries to control but Riley wriggling away. Riley can't escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Justin Lilke will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Riley feints and as Lilke raises his hands in defense, Riley changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Riley lands a couple of decent looking shots. Lilke working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Riley. Riley postures up.
Lilke is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Riley won't allow Lilke to get back to his feet. Riley with a flurry of punches that miss. Riley trying to control the position from guard on top but Lilke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Lilke working a defensive guard here.

Lilke has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Riley looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lilke is one step ahead there. Lilke wants to control from the top but Riley keeps moving. Lilke engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Justin Lilke. Lilke misses with a combination
and Riley decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lilke's guard. Riley pushes down on Lilke's leg and manages to get into half guard. Riley tries to pass the half guard into mount. Lilke knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Lilke is trying to stand up here but Riley is controlling him well. Lilke has hold of Riley's hands but Riley slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lilke avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Riley. Riley sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Lilke defending well though. Lilke tries to get to full guard but Riley has control of the leg. Lilke is controlling Riley's trapped leg to prevent Riley from advancing to side control. Riley lands strikes from half guard. Lilke regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Riley. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Riley's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Riley tries to free his leg and advance position but Lilke is retaining full guard. Riley wants to control from the top but Lilke keeps moving. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Riley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lilke wants to sweep here but Riley controlling him for the moment. Riley landing with the ground and pound. Riley throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. And that's the end of the fight! Max Riley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Riley has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
