The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalou tries for a takedown but Perfect circles away easily
and Perfect cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kalou closes the distance but Perfect moves to the side
and Perfect counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kalou tries to clinch but Perfect moves away
and Perfect counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kalou has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Perfect.
Kalou gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Perfect counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Perfect throwing shots but Kalou is blocking nicely.
Kalou regains full guard. Nicely done.
Perfect keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kalou's head.
