Manson comes into the arena with Indian War Song blaring out of the sound system. Charles Manson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Crusty Pelican!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manson misses with a leg kick
and Pelican counters with a stiff right hand.
Manson chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Manson throws a quick inside leg kick.
Manson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Pelican will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Manson misses with a right hand
and Pelican counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Manson thinking.

Manson swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Pelican misses with an uppercut
and Manson counters with a low kick, right behind Pelican 's knee.
Manson throws a leg kick
and Pelican counters with a slapping leg kick.
Pelican throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Manson tries a head kick but it misses.
Pelican misses with a straight right.

and Pelican connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Pelican counters with a right hand to the body.

Pelican pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Pelican checks a leg kick.
Manson gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Pelican counters with a stiff right hand.

Pelican throws a right and a left that Manson avoids nicely.

Pelican takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A looping hook to the body misses from Manson. Pelican does a little dance to reset his feet.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Manson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Pelican is able to avoid easily.
Pelican circles away from the clinch attempt.
Manson lands a front kick.
Manson scores with the left hand. Pelican knows he should have avoided that one.
Manson lands a leg kick that knocks Pelican off balance momentarily.

and Pelican counters with a nice double leg into side control. Manson won't be happy with that.

Manson keeps Pelican under control for a moment.
You can see the frustration on Manson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pelican is putting a hurting on Manson here, landing some big shots from side control.

Pelican creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Pelican looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Manson is avoiding damage well.
Pelican is looking to take a break and control but Manson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Pelican throws an elbow but Manson slips to the side and avoids it well.
Manson dodges the ground and pound from Pelican.
Pelican has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Manson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Pelican scores with a couple of nice shots.
Pelican throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Pelican missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Manson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Pelican.
Pelican not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Pelican misses with a head shot. Manson uses the momentum to regain guard.

Pelican is looking to work some ground and pound but Manson has wrist control.

Manson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Manson throws a knee to the head but misses.
Manson misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Pelican.
Manson throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Charles Manson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Pelican wants to stall.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Manson obliges.

I would just about give that final round to Crusty Pelican.
I think Manson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
