5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Pebble Braithweight! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Braithweight shoots for a double leg takedown but Poe sprawls well. That's going to take a lot out of Pebble Braithweight. Poe swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Braithweight uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Poe.
Edgar Poe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Poe misses with a hook. Braithweight ducked under it nicely. Braithweight swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Poe loads up on a big right hand but Braithweight slips the punch. Poe misses with a jab, cross combination.
Poe throws a lazy right hand but Braithweight sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Poe throws a big shot that misses. Poe wants to clinch up but Braithweight keeps it at a distance. Poe misses with a looping right. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A punch combination from Poe misses. Poe connects with a jab. Poe stuffs the takedown attempt from Braithweight. Braithweight gets slowly back to his feet. Braithweight looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Poe!
That's one minute gone in the round. Braithweight swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Poe is now in Braithweight's guard. A big mistake from Braithweight there, giving up the dominant position! Braithweight has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Poe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Braithweight has a closed guard, preventing Poe from standing up. Braithweight looking for a guillotine here but Poe defends easily.
