Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hideyoshi Okami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Theunie Visagie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Visagie throws a front kick aimed at Okami's knee but Okami avoids it well.

and Okami counters with a straight right hand.

Okami changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Visagie looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Visagie is looking to regain half guard here but Okami keeps moving and retains side control.
Okami takes a little break here. Visagie wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Okami accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Visagie can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Okami is looking to escape.

Okami somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!

Okami's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Okami won't allow Visagie to sweep him here.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Hideyoshi Okami just wasn't active enough.

Okami feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Theunie Visagie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Okami has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
