Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Thor King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ben Sidlow! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King takes the fight into the clinch. Sidlow manages to break the clinch.
King takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. King gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. King tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sidlow just stands there and leans against the cage. Sidlow has King pressed against the cage, preventing King from circling away and getting back to striking at range. King tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Sidlow blocks an uppercut.
Sidlow escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A head kick misses from Sidlow. King looking for a takedown here - he's got it. King not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Sidlow keeping moving, preventing King from controlling successfully. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sidlow holds on and takes a little breather. Sidlow striking off his back but it's not causing King any problems. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. King trying to control the position from guard on top but Sidlow is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Thor King. King shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Sidlow sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. King moves nicely into side control. King is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sidlow is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. King trying to control the position but Sidlow is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. King is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sidlow knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
