Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fred Boyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Job (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Job has chosen I Need A Dollar as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Fred Boyle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Job! The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boyle gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Job to score an easy takedown into full guard. Boyle trying to control the position.
Boyle is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Job defends well. Boyle looking for a guillotine here but Job defends easily.

Job is in close to Boyle's body, working some short punches and elbows. Job pushing down on Boyle's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Job seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Boyle does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The fighters are battling for position here. Boyle manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Boyle escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Job gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Boyle is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Boyle is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Job is trying to control. Boyle wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Job is looking for a kimura but Boyle is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Job to get the leverage. Boyle manages to get to full guard.

Boyle drops back looking for a leg! Job is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Job manages to kick Boyle off! Boyle jumps back into Job's guard. Boyle advances to half guard. Job has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Job is refusing to be controlled, as Boyle sits in half guard. Job is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boyle thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Job is not content to let Boyle control the position. Job wants to control but Boyle is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boyle is pressing down on Job's thigh, looking to free his foot. Job is holding on for now. Boyle missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Job taking some punishment here, with Boyle in his half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Boyle connects with a nice short shot to Job's temple. Boyle seems to be looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Job trying to control but Boyle postures up.
Boyle stalling. Job wants to improve his position but Boyle is controlling well.
Boyle is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Job slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Boyle throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Job works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boyle throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Boyle landing with the ground and pound. Job wants to sweep here but Boyle controlling him for the moment. Boyle looking to pass the guard. Boyle pushes down on Job's leg and manages to get into half guard. Boyle is nestled in close to Job, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Boyle wants to free his trapped foot but Job is holding on for dear life with his legs. Job tries to get to full guard but Boyle has control of the leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boyle moves into full mount! Job won't be happy about that! Boyle trying to control but Job is having none of it. Job can't escape the position.
Boyle trying to control but he's not successful this time. Boyle is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Job has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Boyle raining down hammerfists from mount. Boyle in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The referee warns Job that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fred Boyle dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Job misses with a takedown and Boyle counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Job's guard now. Job not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Boyle controlling from the top position. Boyle thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Boyle accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Boyle trying to control the position from guard on top but Job is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boyle is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Job is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Boyle slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Fred Boyle has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Boyle shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Job's guard. Boyle wants to control from the top but Job keeps moving. Job trying to keep a closed guard but Boyle is proving a slippery customer.
Boyle is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Boyle wants to control from the top but Job keeps moving. Fred Boyle overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Job controls Boyle momentarily but Boyle frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boyle looking to pass the guard. Job keeping moving, preventing Boyle from controlling successfully. Job tries to land a sweep but no joy. Boyle drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Job manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Boyle has Job in his guard. Boyle is looking for a triangle but Job pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Job stands and throws Boyle's legs to the side, diving into side control. Boyle tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Job wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boyle is working hard here to advance position. Boyle wants to control but Job postures up. Boyle throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Boyle tries to buck Job off but Job is having none of it. Boyle takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Boyle is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Boyle struggling a bit here. Boyle is looking to regain half guard here but Job keeps moving and retains side control. Job wants to control but Boyle is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Job scoring with punches from side control. Job advances to full mount. Job can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Boyle is looking to escape. Job avoids the attempt from Boyle to control. Boyle keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Boyle tries to hold on but Job pushes him away. Boyle is in all sorts of trouble here.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Fred Boyle. Well Boyle has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
