Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Danny Watts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave McNasty! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McNasty shoots in for a takedown but Watts shows good takedown defense. McNasty throws a right hand that Watts ducks under and follows up with a left that Watts also avoids with ease. McNasty scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. McNasty is looking to take a break and control but Watts is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. McNasty is staying tight to Watts's torso, preventing him from escaping. McNasty scores with a couple of short elbows. McNasty stands up. Watts fails with an attempt to clinch.
McNasty looks for a takedown but Watts sprawls well. Danny Watts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Watts throws a series of punches but McNasty avoids them all with ease. Watts darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Watts thows a huge punch but McNasty dodges it nicely.

McNasty is refusing to be controlled, as Watts sits in half guard. McNasty avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Watts. Watts is breathing heavily. McNasty tries to roll over but Watts keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Watts is thwarting McNasty's attempts to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McNasty tries to get to full guard but Watts has control of the leg.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Watts tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Watts drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McNasty is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. McNasty is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Watts is just riding it out for now. McNasty eventually gives up the hold. McNasty is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Watts trying to hold on to McNasty's head to control him but McNasty postures up.
McNasty perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Watts strikes from the bottom but McNasty uses the opportunity to move to side control.
McNasty is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Watts has escaped the position, nice work there. Watts is trying to escape the position but McNasty is controlling the position. McNasty trying to control the action but Watts is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Watts tries to strike from the bottom but misses. McNasty prevents Watts from escaping the position. McNasty trying to control the position but Watts is working away. McNasty working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Watts rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McNasty moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Watts has closed the distance and engaged McNasty in a clinch.
Watts stalls. Watts has McNasty pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. McNasty manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Dave McNasty will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Watts fails miserably with a takedown attempt. McNasty changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Watts tries to avoid it but McNasty manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Watts to the ground. Watts escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Watts falls off balance throwing a combination
and McNasty counters with a nice double leg into side control. Watts won't be happy with that. McNasty is looking to take a break and control but Watts is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Watts manages to work his way to half guard, despite McNasty's best efforts. Watts manages to escape and get back to his feet! Watts clinches up against the cage. McNasty breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. McNasty shoots and misses and Watts counters with a body kick that stops McNasty in his tracks momentarily. Nice sprawl there from McNasty as Watts shoots in. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McNasty will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Danny Watts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave McNasty. Watts gets in close and instigates a clinch. McNasty goes for a takedown in the clinch but Watts prevents it.
That's one minute gone in the round. McNasty has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Watts is trying to keep an underhook but McNasty manages to get the takedown into half guard. Watts looking for submissions off his back. McNasty throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. McNasty scoring with strikes to the body and head. Watts taking some punishment here, with McNasty in his half guard. McNasty is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Watts defends it well. McNasty content to control rather than advance. McNasty scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McNasty is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. McNasty with the ground and pound but Watts uses the opportunity to regain guard. McNasty loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Watts can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as McNasty controls the pace. Watts manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McNasty manages to get himself to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McNasty pulls Watts in close to prevent any damage. McNasty trying to control the position.
McNasty is pulling down on Watts's head. It's preventing any offense from Watts, at least for the moment. Watts is looking to stand up but McNasty won't let him. Watts missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Watts gets to his feet. McNasty looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! McNasty slips a jab and a cross from Watts.
Watts closes the distance and clinches up with McNasty, looking for a takedown. Watts pushes McNasty against the cage but McNasty circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Danny Watts is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Watts fails to land with a series of punches.
Watts tries to clinch but McNasty is having none of it. McNasty doesn't succeed with the takedown and Watts counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Watts scores with a three punch combo!
McNasty moves in looking to clinch but Watts pushes him off. McNasty forces Watts back against the cage and clinches. Watts prevents a body shot from McNasty. McNasty fails to pull guard.

McNasty tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Watts just stands there and leans against the cage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Watts tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Watts trying to control the position from guard on top but McNasty is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Watts thows a big elbow that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dave McNasty showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

McNasty fails with the takedown and Watts counters by moving into the clinch. Watts looking for a takedown. McNasty tries for a takedown but Watts manages to get underhooks.
Watts has had enough of the clinch but McNasty keeps him there for the moment. McNasty prevents Watts from breaking the clinch. Watts takes an elbow to the forehead. McNasty tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Watts just stands there and leans against the cage. Danny Watts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave McNasty. Watts wants a takedown.

McNasty drops down looking for an ankle pick but Watts pulls his leg out and moves away.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Watts. McNasty fails to land the takedown. Watts tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McNasty paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. McNasty gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Watts is trying to break the clinch but McNasty has him pressed against the cage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. McNasty breaks from the clinch.
Watts will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

McNasty shoots and misses and Watts counters with a single leg into guard. McNasty didn't expect that. McNasty trying to control the position.
McNasty trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. McNasty working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Watts doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Watts manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Watts throwing strikes from guard but McNasty blocks nicely. Watts trying to stand up but can't free himself from McNasty's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Watts with a flurry of punches that miss. McNasty wants to get back to his feet but Watts is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Watts shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Watts was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! McNasty tries to hold on but Watts postures up. BOOM! Watts connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Watts avoids the attempt from McNasty to control. Watts sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! McNasty gets back to half guard. McNasty is looking to control Watts's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can McNasty avoid being mounted? McNasty looking for submissions off his back. Watts postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for McNasty to stand up. Watts slips a jab and a cross from McNasty.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McNasty shoots and misses and Watts counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Watts goes for a takedown attempt but McNasty pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McNasty working some strikes from top position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Watts had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. McNasty is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Watts Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take McNasty's back instead. McNasty looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Dave McNasty. I've got McNasty winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
