Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Calloway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Austin Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson misses with a combination
and Calloway counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Calloway misses with a head kick.
Johnson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Calloway.
Johnson slaps away a takedown attempt from Calloway, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Johnson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Johnson.
Austin Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Calloway circles away quickly and effectively.
Calloway misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Calloway misses with a takedown attempt - Johnson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Johnson fails to land with a series of punches.
Johnson stalks Calloway and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Calloway's face. Calloway staggers backwards, shaken.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Calloway pushing down on Johnson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Johnson is positioning himself well to prevent Calloway advancing to mount.
Calloway thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Johnson's head.
Calloway takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Johnson manages to get to full guard.
Calloway has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Calloway wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mark Calloway just wasn't active enough.
Johnson looks to land a combination. Calloway sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Johnson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Calloway counters with a left and a right that stings Johnson.
Calloway fails with a takedown attempt.
Johnson looks to land a combination but Calloway avoids it well.
No joy there for Johnson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Calloway fails with a takedown attempt.
Calloway avoids a punch combination nicely.

Johnson throws a series of punches but Calloway avoids them all with ease.
Johnson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Johnson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Calloway counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Johnson tries to sprawl but Calloway drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Calloway is trying to control. Johnson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Johnson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Calloway passes Johnson's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Calloway wants to stand but Johnson has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Calloway seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Johnson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mark Calloway showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Calloway has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
