Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Mickles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Trenedad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trenedad has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trenedad throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Trenedad takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Trenedad looks gassed!

Mickles feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Trenedad sprawling to the canvas! Trenedad rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mickles finish him?!
It looks like John Trenedad has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Trenedad falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mickles counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Trenedad! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!
