Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Omigawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Omigawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Jones! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Omigawa throws a shot from downtown. Jones moves away and avoids it. Jones changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Omigawa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Jones tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Jones is staying tight to Omigawa's torso, preventing him from escaping. Jones wants to stand but Omigawa has his arm trapped.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Alex Jones has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Omigawa throws a lazy uppercut
and Jones counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jones. Jones is trying to trip Omigawa. He has hold of a leg but Omigawa is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jones persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Jones engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jones not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Jones trying to control the pace. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Omigawa looks like he's trying to stand up.

Alex Jones dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Jones throws a head kick that misses. Omigawa lands with a hook. Jones tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Jones takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Omigawa misses with a looping right. Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Omigawa is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Omigawa circles away and we're back to standing. Jones takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Jones sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. No joy there for Omigawa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Jones instigates a clinch. Jones is trying to break the clinch but Omigawa is controlling him. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Jones gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jones prevents Omigawa from standing back up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jones missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. It looks like Jones is going to stand back up.
Jones tries to pass to full mount but Omigawa defends it. Jones wants to take a breather but Omigawa is having none of it. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Alex Jones was stalling too much, according to the referee. A decent looking cross lands there for Omigawa. Ken Omigawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jones misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jones darts in and clinches Omigawa up against the cage. Omigawa has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jones avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Jones drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Ken Omigawa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Jones. Omigawa tries to pull guard but Jones holds him up against the cage and eventually Omigawa drops back down to his feet.
Jones tightens his grip and picks Omigawa up, before dumping him to the ground. Omigawa manages to land in guard. Omigawa is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Omigawa swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jones loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Omigawa is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jones is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Omigawa punishes Jones's body with a nice straight punch. Ken Omigawa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Omigawa lands a head kick!
Jones thows a body shot but no joy. Jones takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Omigawa buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Omigawa slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Omigawa lands a head shot. A slow jab from Jones misses its intended target. Omigawa digs a good hook to Jones's body.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Jab by Omigawa. Omigawa lands with a hook. Jones tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Omigawa scoring well with a low kick there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ken Omigawa dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
A nice leg kick lands there from Omigawa. Omigawa fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jones on the side of the head. Omigawa ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones moves away. Omigawa is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Jones shoots in for a takedown but Omigawa shows good takedown defense. Ken Omigawa is winning the standup battle so far. A good leg kick by Omigawa. A combination from Omigawa does no damage. A combination from Omigawa does no damage. Alex Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Omigawa ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Omigawa looks to land a combination but Jones avoids it well. Jones slips a jab and a cross from Omigawa.

Jones gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Omigawa. Jones moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Omigawa thumps Jones with a low kick. Jones takes one to the side of the head.
Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Omigawa lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jones's sensitive parts. Omigawa chopping away at his opponent's legs.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jones takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Omigawa lands with a slapping head kick. Some wild striking there from Omigawa.
Jones chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Omigawa can pounce on him.
Omigawa pushes Jones away with a front kick. That kick from Omigawa tenderised Jones's leg. Jones is trying to keep his angry face on. Omigawa moves into range and connects with a jab. A chopping leg kick lands by Omigawa. A nice leg kick lands there from Omigawa. A nice leg kick lands there from Omigawa. Omigawa wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Omigawa scores with the left hand. Jones knows he should have avoided that one. Omigawa lands a leg kick that knocks Jones off balance momentarily. Omigawa feints a jab promting Jones to slip. Omigawa then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Jones slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Omigawa plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Omigawa's corner calls for a 1-2. Omigawa obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Jones stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Omigawa. Jones shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Omigawa scores with a jab. Jones acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Jones closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Nice body kick from Omigawa. Omigawa throws a leg kick which misses Jones's front leg but catches the back leg as Jones tries to avoid it. Jones takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Jones drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Omigawa chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Omigawa closes the distance and lands a one-two. Omigawa lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Omigawa throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. An inside leg kick lands from Omigawa. Jones blocks a jab. Omigawa throws a leg kick which misses Jones's front leg but catches the back leg as Jones tries to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Omigawa works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Omigawa chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Omigawa lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Jones stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Omigawa. Jones takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A nice inside leg kick there by Omigawa. That's going to slow Jones down. Omigawa's jab looks to have found its range, popping Jones under the eye. Omigawa lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Omigawa misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Omigawa throws a leg kick which misses Jones's front leg but catches the back leg as Jones tries to avoid it. Jones shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. A solid leg kick lands there for Omigawa.

Jones's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Omigawa connects with a leg kick. Jones looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Omigawa throws a nice outside leg kick. Omigawa throws a nice outside leg kick. Omigawa lunges at Jones with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jones's hand. Omigawa feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jones's calf. Omigawa lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Jones slips under a jab from Omigawa. Jones has closed the distance and engaged Omigawa in a clinch.
Omigawa is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Jones is trying to drag Omigawa to the mat but Omigawa just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jones keeps control of Omigawa as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
And that's the end of the fight! Ken Omigawa showed his dominance in that final round. I think Omigawa has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
