Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tentotlon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Poppe shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Poppe wants to get back to his feet.
Poppe decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Poppe closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tentotlon quickly recovers to half guard.

Poppe trying to control the action but Tentotlon is working from the bottom.
Poppe is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Poppe is just content to waste time from the top position. Tentotlon takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Tentotlon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Poppe throws a strike but Tentotlon rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Poppe trying to keep a closed guard but Tentotlon is proving a slippery customer.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Gilbert Poppe was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Tentotlon pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tentotlon buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Poppe checks a leg kick.
Tentotlon lands with a thumping leg kick.
Poppe shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Poppe showed some decent athleticism there.
Poppe stalling away here and it's allowed Tentotlon to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Poppe wants to control from the top but Tentotlon keeps moving.
Poppe is looking to work some ground and pound but Tentotlon has wrist control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Poppe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tentotlon works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Tentotlon throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Poppe's head.

Good leg kick by Tentotlon there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tentotlon misses with a looping left.
Poppe on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Tentotlon throws a quick inside leg kick.
Jake Tentotlon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Poppe decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Poppe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tentotlon keeps working.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Poppe is looking to advance position but Tentotlon won't allow it.
Poppe is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Poppe drops back, looking for a kneebar! Tentotlon looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Tentotlon looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Tentotlon!

Poppe is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Tentotlon's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Tentotlon! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Poppe has tapped! This one is allllll over!
