Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Hrozny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Yazerman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hrozny comes into the arena with 'Paint It Black' by The Rolling Stones blaring out of the sound system. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jan Hrozny! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Edward Yazerman! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Sergei Dronov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hrozny gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Hrozny escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hrozny misses with a wild body shot. Yazerman gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hrozny to score an easy takedown into full guard. Yazerman tries to strike from the bottom.
Hrozny wants to pass the guard but Yazerman is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yazerman pulls Hrozny in close to his closed guard and prevents Hrozny from doing any damage or advancing position. Yazerman throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Hrozny trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Yazerman is trying to keep Hrozny in close.
Yazerman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hrozny drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Yazerman dives on top into guard. Yazerman trying to control but Hrozny is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yazerman looking to pass the guard. Yazerman stopping the sweep attempt from Hrozny. Yazerman wants to control from the top but Hrozny keeps moving.
Edward Yazerman has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Yazerman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hrozny paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hrozny looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Yazerman is defending against the submission attempts here by Hrozny.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hrozny thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Yazerman looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Yazerman avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hrozny. Hrozny lands strikes from half guard. Hrozny is trying to control the action in half guard but Yazerman is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Hrozny missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Hrozny controlling the action here. Hrozny is thwarting Yazerman's attempts to control the position. Yazerman is looking for a sweep. Hrozny is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hrozny missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Hrozny looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hrozny wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yazerman keeps working. Hrozny prevents Yazerman from standing back up.
Yazerman is trying to get back to full guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hrozny lands a nice short elbow. Hrozny trying to control from half guard but Yazerman is working away. Yazerman wants to get back to full guard but Hrozny has passed into side control. Hrozny lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hrozny scores with punches from side control. Yazerman is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Yazerman taking punishment in the form of punches.
Hrozny is chipping away with strikes.
Hrozny lands a decent elbow from side control. Hrozny in side control lands a decent elbow. Hrozny grinds an elbow into Yazerman's temple. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hrozny wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yazerman keeps working. Hrozny advances to full mount. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hrozny avoids the attempt from Yazerman to control. Hrozny raining down hammerfists from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hrozny feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hrozny works over Yazerman with some ground and pound from guard. Hrozny keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Yazerman's head. Yazerman looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jan Hrozny overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Yazerman is wriggling around but Hrozny manages to pass to half guard.
Hrozny winds up and cracks Yazerman with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Hrozny passes the guard and advances to mount! Hrozny prevents Yazerman from getting the reversal. Hrozny lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Hrozny looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Hrozny scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yazerman is trying desperately to improve position. Hrozny is working for a guillotine from mount but Yazerman frees his head quite easily.
Yazerman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hrozny. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hrozny lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Hrozny dominating with strikes here. Yazerman throwing hammer fists to the chest of Hrozny. What's that going to do exactly? Yazerman is squirming around, avoiding Hrozny's attempts to control the action. Hrozny raining down hammerfists from mount. Yazerman is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Hrozny lands a nice shot to the head. Yazerman is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Yazerman is breathing heavily. Hrozny cracks Yazerman with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Hrozny lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Yazerman is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hrozny landing strikes from the mount and Yazerman is in trouble! Yazerman is still in real trouble! Can Hrozny finish him? Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hrozny has control of Yazerman's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Yazerman regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hrozny is landing with some decent strikes but Yazerman is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Hrozny working the ground and pound effectively.
Yazerman seems to have recovered his senses. Hrozny with a couple of short strikes. Hrozny lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Hrozny jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Yazerman manages to avoid the submission attempt. Hrozny working the body and head with strikes. Hrozny tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yazerman tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Hrozny moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Yazerman has worked his arm free - good work by Yazerman!
Yazerman gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Hrozny scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Hrozny has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Yazerman defend it? Hrozny steps over the head and cranks it - Yazerman is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Hrozny!
