Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charlie Bronson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonas Resina!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bronson drives through and clinches with Resina against the cage.
Resina landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Bronson gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Resina wants to control but Bronson is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Resina looking for submissions off his back.

Bronson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Resina is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bronson pulls his head out easily.
Resina wants to get back to full guard but Bronson has mounted him!

Resina is looking to escape.

Bronson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Bronson is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Bronson has gone for a leg lock! Resina slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bronson's guard.

Bronson wants to sweep here but Resina controlling him for the moment.
Resina loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Charlie Bronson will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Resina shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Bronson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Resina throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bronson.
Resina shoots in for a takedown but Bronson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bronson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Resina circles away quickly and effectively.
Resina fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Charlie Bronson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonas Resina.
Bronson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.


It looks like Jonas Resina has been cut.

so Resina counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Resina decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bronson, up you get!

and Resina counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bronson won't be happy with that.

Bronson is trying to improve his position.
Resina wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bronson keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bronson tries to bench press Resina off him but Resina keeps the position.
Resina landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

Resina stands up.
Resina shoots and misses
and Bronson counters with a straight right hand.
Resina gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Bronson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Bronson successfully pulls guard.
Bronson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Resina's guard.
Bronson wants to pass the guard but Resina is keeping the position.

Resina working for a triangle but Bronson defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bronson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Resina's guard.
Resina wants to improve his position but Bronson is controlling well.
Bronson tries to pass to full mount but Resina defends it.
Bronson uses his free foot to push down on Resina's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Resina.
Resina can't escape the position.
Bronson unloads with some shots from mount but Resina bucks and avoids them well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bronson maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Resina could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Bronson has cracked it and Resina is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Bronson!
