Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Blake Stevenson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hunter Jackson! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Kavanagh and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevenson clinches up with Jackson and pushes him back against the cage. Stevenson landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Jackson is working for takedown but Stevenson is calmly controlling the position for now. Stevenson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jackson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Stevenson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Stevenson drops back looking for a leg! Jackson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jackson manages to kick Stevenson off! Stevenson jumps back into Jackson's guard. Jackson looking to control but Stevenson passes into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stevenson is looking to stall here but Jackson recovers full guard. Jackson throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Stevenson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Stevenson is in Jackson's guard. Jackson keeping moving, preventing Stevenson from controlling successfully. Stevenson throws a big right hand that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stevenson trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Stevenson with a flurry of punches that miss. Jackson throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Stevenson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jackson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jackson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Jackson pushes Stevenson off looking to stand but Stevenson dives back in and keeps control.
Stevenson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Stevenson is trying to control the action in half guard but Jackson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jackson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Stevenson clinches up against the cage. Jackson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Stevenson is trying to keep an underhook but Jackson manages to get the takedown into half guard. Stevenson pushes Jackson off and gets back to his feet. Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stevenson as he jumps to the side. Stevenson rushes Jackson and presses him up against the cage. Stevenson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Jackson stopping the sweep attempt from Stevenson. Jackson wants to stand and escape but instead Stevenson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stevenson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Stevenson is trying to get an arm triangle but Jackson is defending well. Stevenson avoids the strikes from the bottom by Jackson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Stevenson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Jackson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The strikes coming from Stevenson are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Stevenson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Stevenson scores with punches from side control.

Stevenson decides to take the fight back to the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
