Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dat Sik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jenji Ueda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ueda has chosen Requiem for a Dream as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Dat Sik! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jenji Ueda! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sik, as that shot connected.
Ueda has managed to clinch.
Ueda trying to control the position but instead, Sik has worked for underhooks and has pushed Ueda into the cage. Sik is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Ueda taking a breather. Ueda throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Ueda stalling the fight.
Sik breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ueda gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sik to score an easy takedown into full guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Sik trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Sik throws a strike but Ueda rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Sik has control of Ueda's left arm, preventing Ueda from doing any damage. Sik keeping full guard, as Ueda tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ueda throwing strikes from guard but Sik blocks nicely. Ueda must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Ueda preventing the sweep. Sik is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ueda missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Sik is pulling down on Ueda's head. It's preventing any offense from Ueda, at least for the moment. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Sik working a defensive guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dat Sik has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Ueda tries to clinch but Sik is having none of it. Sik throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Ueda tries to clinch but fails miserably and Sik counters with a straight right hand. Dat Sik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ueda tries to clinch there but Sik circles away.

Ueda is looking to chop away at Sik's legs. Sik takes a swing at Ueda's ribcage but misses. Ueda scores with a jab to the body. Ueda moves to clinch but Sik breaks away and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Ueda tries to clinch up and Sik counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ueda thinking.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ueda checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Ueda will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ueda throws a leg kick and Sik counters with a stiff right hand. Sik fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A decent looking cross lands there for Ueda. Sik connects with a body shot. Ueda throws the kick towards the body but Sik avoids it. Ueda tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sik was well out of range. Poor timing from Ueda. A shot to the body from Ueda misses and Sik counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ueda's knee momentarily. Ueda shoots in looking for a takedown. Sik tries to sprawl out of it but Ueda keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sik manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ueda throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Sik counters with a left and a right that stings Ueda. Ueda moves into the clinch. Sik pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ueda tries to clinch but Sik moves away and Sik counters with a right hand to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A jab from Ueda does it's job there. Sik missing with a left hand there. Ueda was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Sik misses with a double jab
and Ueda counters by moving into the clinch. Ueda throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Sik stops a takedown attempt from Ueda.
Dat Sik has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jenji Ueda. Sik stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Ueda looks to throw an elbow but misses. Ueda keeps control of Sik as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Sik tries to break the clinch but Ueda is controlling the position. Ueda missing with knees to the body.
A frustrated look appears on Sik's face as he tries to break the clinch. Sik turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sik is breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. You can see the frustration on Ueda's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Sik in side control lands a decent elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dat Sik dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Ueda fails in his attempt to clinch. A big right from Sik misses. Sik is looking to wear down Ueda with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Ueda dives in and grabs Sik's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sik pushes down on Ueda's head and hops out. Sik throws a nice inside leg kick. Ueda ducks under a wild hook from Sik. Sik scores with a jab to the jaw. Sik uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ueda has time to react. Sik swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ueda waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sik. Ueda scores with the left hand. Sik knows he should have avoided that one. Sik misses with a looping left. Sik throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Ueda scores a takedown into full mount! Sik bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ueda throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Ueda lands a decent punch to the body there. Sik thows a big elbow that misses. Sik throws a strike but Ueda rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Ueda wants to control from the top but Sik keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Sik is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sik has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ueda postures up in Sik's guard and throws a big left but Sik blocks it. Ueda is looking to work some ground and pound but Sik has wrist control. Sik can't keep his opponent in guard - Ueda advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Sik wants to improve his position but Ueda is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sik is pressing down on Ueda's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Sik working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ueda. Ueda preventing the sweep. Sik looking to control.
Ueda throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ueda postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Ueda trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ueda with a flurry of punches that miss. Sik has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Ueda missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ueda lands a couple of elbows. Sik controls Ueda momentarily but Ueda frees himself. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Sik looking for a sweep. Not yet Sik, not yet. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ueda accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ueda wants to control from the top but Sik keeps moving. Ueda throws a big right hand that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jenji Ueda will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Ueda moves in looking to clinch but Sik pushes him off. Sik takes a jab right on the kisser.
Ueda lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Sik throws a combination that misses and Ueda counters with a shoot takedown. Sik fights it but they end up in guard. Ueda working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Sik throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ueda with a flurry of punches that miss. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sik keeping full guard, as Ueda tries to pass. Ueda trying to move into half guard but instead Sik has managed to sweep! Sik missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ueda managing to control the position. Sik wants to pass the guard but Ueda is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ueda tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sik throwing strikes but missing. Sik trying to control the position from guard on top but Ueda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sik throws a strike but Ueda rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Sik is looking to sweep but instead, Ueda has passed into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sik is looking to improve his position.
Sik gets back to full guard.
Ueda drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sik looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sik looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sik! Sik lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Ueda down.
Ueda is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sik cracks Ueda with a big right hand but Ueda just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Sik throws an elbow but Ueda slips to the side and avoids it well. Sik working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Sik working the ground and pound from side control. Dat Sik overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sik misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Sik throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Sik is trying to ground and pound but Ueda uses the momentary lack of control by Sik to regain half guard. Sik tries to pass to full mount but Ueda defends it.
And that's the end of the fight! Jenji Ueda comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Ueda has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
