Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hideo Winters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazushi Yamazaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Winters comes into the arena with Power blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hideo Winters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazushi Yamazaki! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Winters shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Yamazaki tries to clinch and Winters counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. A low kick from Yamazaki is predictable there and Winters counters with a good low kick that Yamazaki was not able to check. Yamazaki swings and misses with a shot to the body and Winters decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Yamazaki's guard. Yamazaki looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Winters gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Yamazaki tries to clinch but fails miserably and Winters counters with a three punch combo that has Yamazaki backing up. Yamazaki nods at Winters to acknowledge the strikes. Winters throws a head kick that misses and Yamazaki counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Yamazaki's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Winters swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Winters throws a right hand that Yamazaki ducks under and follows up with a left that Yamazaki also avoids with ease. Yamazaki throws a poor cross that misses
and Winters counters with a low kick, right behind Yamazaki 's knee. A head kick by Yamazaki misses and Winters counters with a nice uppercut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Winters cracks Yamazaki with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Winters changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Yamazaki tries to avoid it but Winters manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Yamazaki to the ground. Yamazaki escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Yamazaki moves into the clinch successfully.
Winters works on Yamazaki's body with a couple of short punches. Yamazaki wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. A short right hand to the side of the head by Winters. Winters lands a left hand.
Yamazaki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Winters circles away from the clinch attempt and Winters counters with a nice low kick that buckles Yamazaki's knee momentarily. Winters throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Yamazaki moves into the clinch. Yamazaki breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Yamazaki throws a sloppy head kick and Winters moves out of range easily. Sloppy strikes from Winters. Those never looked like landing. Kazushi Yamazaki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Yamazaki tries to clinch and Winters finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Yamazaki throws a lazy head kick and Winters counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Yamazaki tries to clinch and Winters counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Yamazaki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Winters. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Winters wants to stand but Yamazaki has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Yamazaki tries to get to full guard but Winters has control of the leg. Winters decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Kazushi Yamazaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yamazaki throws a sloppy head kick and Winters counters with a two punch combo. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The fight stays on the outside here - Yamazaki looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Some wild striking there from Winters.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Winters cracks Yamazaki with a nice body shot. Yamazaki slowing the pace effectively. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Winters is trying to maintain a safe position but Yamazaki gets an underhook and turns Winters into the cage. Yamazaki blocking some punches.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Yamazaki can do anything to dispel that myth. Winters unloads with some shots from mount but Yamazaki bucks and avoids them well.

Winters fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Yamazaki. Yamazaki is breathing heavily. Winters instigates a clinch. Yamazaki thows a leg kick but Winters checks it and Yamazaki takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Winters takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Hideo Winters dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

and Winters counters with an inside leg kick. Hideo Winters is winning the standup battle so far. Yamazaki chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Winters can pounce on him.

Yamazaki misses with a kick to the body and Winters counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Yamazaki! Yamazaki holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Winters tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Winters lands a heavy elbow. Hideo Winters overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Winters in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Poor strikes thrown by Winters there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Winters lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Yamazaki hang on? Yamazaki is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
