0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anderson Nelson! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nelson closes the distance but Morrison moves to the side and Morrison cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Nelson misses with a takedown attempt and Morrison counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Morrison looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Morrison postures up and lands a big shot to Nelson's brow. Morrison throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nelson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Morrison is in close to Nelson's body, working some short punches and elbows. Morrison wants to control from the top but Nelson keeps moving. Morrison throws a big right hand that misses. Morrison thows a big elbow that misses. Morrison is in close to Nelson's body, working some short punches and elbows. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nelson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Nelson looking for a sweep. Not yet Nelson, not yet. Morrison has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. That's one minute gone in the round. Morrison distracts Nelson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Morrison lands a couple of decent looking shots. Nelson is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Morrison rolls with it to try and escape but Nelson cranks on the arm and Morrison is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
