and Grigoriev takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A jab from Grigoriev finds it's way through Assante's defenses.
Grigoriev throws a lazy uppercut
and Assante cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Assante throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Assante takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Grigoriev looks to score with a jab to the body but Assante is just out of range.
Assante checks the leg kick nicely there.
Assante lands a leg kick that knocks Grigoriev off balance momentarily.
Assante has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Grigoriev finds it's way round the side to connect with Assante's head.

Assante rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Grigoriev moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Grigoriev counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

and Grigoriev makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Assante connects with an inside leg kick.

and Assante counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Grigoriev lands with an uppercut that bounces Assante off the cage and back into rage.
Assante tries to score with a low kick but Grigoriev moves his leg out of the way.
Salvatore Assante seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice inside leg kick there by Assante. That's going to slow Grigoriev down.
Assante tries to close the distance and clinch but Grigoriev swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Grigoriev throws a lazy right hand but Assante sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Grigoriev counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Assante! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Grigoriev!
