Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Handsoncock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akainu Sakazuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Handsoncock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Akainu Sakazuki! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sakazuki on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Jab from Handsoncock. Sakazuki shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Handsoncock counters with a left to the body. Handsoncock connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Handsoncock lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Handsoncock connects with a solid leg kick. Sakazuki tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Sakazuki takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Handsoncock lands a nice looking body kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A head kick by Sakazuki misses and Handsoncock counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Handsoncock shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sakazuki is trying to defend but Handsoncock finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Handsoncock not landing any meaningful shots this time. Handsoncock is trying to control the action in half guard but Sakazuki is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Sakazuki trying to control but Handsoncock postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sakazuki blocking the ground and pound attempt from Handsoncock. Handsoncock lands with a punch from half guard. Sakazuki is looking to control Handsoncock's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sakazuki avoid being mounted? Sakazuki looks gassed! Handsoncock not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Handsoncock seems to be looking for submissions.
Handsoncock thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sakazuki's head. Sakazuki blocking the ground and pound attempt from Handsoncock. Nice strikes from Handsoncock there. Handsoncock seems to be looking for submissions.
Handsoncock looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Handsoncock scoring with strikes to the body and head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Handsoncock sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Sakazuki defending well though. Handsoncock is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Sakazuki is refusing to be controlled, as Handsoncock sits in half guard. Sakazuki wants to get back to full guard. Sakazuki has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Handsoncock is working away from the top position though. Ground and pound from Handsoncock. Handsoncock is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Sakazuki avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Handsoncock. Handsoncock wants to take a breather but Sakazuki is having none of it. Handsoncock is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Nice strikes from Handsoncock there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Handsoncock seems to be looking for submissions.
Handsoncock not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Handsoncock is thwarting Sakazuki's attempts to control the position. Handsoncock has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Sakazuki defend it? Handsoncock steps over the head and cranks it - Sakazuki is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Handsoncock!
