Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ariel Piechocki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe The KO Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ariel Piechocki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joe The KO Man!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Piechocki or perhaps it was just good defense by The KO Man which made him look bad.
The KO Man lands with a cross.
Piechocki takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Piechocki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Piechocki shoots for a takedown but The KO Man saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
The KO Man lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Piechocki shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The KO Man is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Piechocki is controlling him.
Piechocki with a flurry of punches that miss.
Piechocki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. The KO Man swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The KO Man wants to stand and escape but Piechocki is having none of it.
Piechocki passes The KO Man's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Piechocki not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Piechocki takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Piechocki lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Piechocki is looking for a kimura but The KO Man is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Piechocki to get the leverage.
Piechocki is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

The KO Man wants to get back to his feet.
Piechocki lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Piechocki looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Piechocki stops The KO Man from getting back to his feet.
Piechocki tries to pass to full mount but The KO Man defends it.
Piechocki wants to lay and pray for a moment but The KO Man keeps working.
The KO Man is trying to stand up here but Piechocki is controlling him well.

The KO Man tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Piechocki manages to move to mount!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The KO Man really wants to buck Piechocki off and get back to his feet.
The KO Man really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Piechocki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Piechocki won't let The KO Man get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
The referee warns The KO Man that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Piechocki cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The KO Man is trying to stand.
Piechocki scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish The KO Man?

The KO Man is still in real trouble! Can Piechocki finish him?
Piechocki lands a big shot there that rocks The KO Man but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The KO Man seems to have recovered his senses.
The KO Man takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The KO Man is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Piechocki connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Piechocki has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Piechocki fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The KO Man tries to buck Piechocki off but he can't manage it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Piechocki's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Piechocki wants to clinch up but The KO Man keeps it at a distance.
Piechocki is looking to clinch but The KO Man is avoiding it.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
The KO Man scores with a decent looking hook.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The KO Man defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Piechocki.
Piechocki tries to close the distance and clinch up but The KO Man swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Piechocki throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A big left from The KO Man misses.
Piechocki is looking to clinch.
The KO Man leaves Piechocki with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Piechocki takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Piechocki throws the kick towards the body but The KO Man avoids it.

Piechocki fakes high and swings low for a body shot but The KO Man manages to avoid it.
Piechocki throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and The KO Man counters with a left and a right that stings Piechocki.
The KO Man cracks Piechocki with a right hand to the side of the head.
Piechocki misses with a looping left.
Piechocki throws a sloppy body shot
and The KO Man counters with a nice uppercut.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The KO Man misses with a two punch combination.
Piechocki throws a combination that misses
and The KO Man cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The KO Man scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Ariel Piechocki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Piechocki.

Joe The KO Man showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Piechocki's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

The KO Man throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Piechocki tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. The KO Man manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and The KO Man counters with a nice uppercut.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The KO Man swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The KO Man has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
The KO Man connects with a looping right hand.
The KO Man tries to bum rush Piechocki with a series of wild strikes but Piechocki uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Piechocki takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Nice takedown defense from The KO Man. No joy for Piechocki on that attempt.

Piechocki tries to clinch but fails miserably
and The KO Man connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ariel Piechocki is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The KO Man rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Piechocki moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
A slow jab from The KO Man misses its intended target.
The KO Man throws a right and a left that both miss.
Piechocki fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Piechocki looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

And that's the end of the fight!
Joe The KO Man comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think The KO Man has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
