Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeff Kelly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Phil Taylor! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kelly closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Taylor trying to control from the bottom.
Taylor is looking for a sweep. Kelly is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kelly prevents Taylor from standing back up.
Taylor keeps control of the position for the meantime. Taylor is trying to stand.
Kelly is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Well, if Kelly is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kelly is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Taylor!
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Kelly tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Taylor is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Taylor sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Taylor looks gassed! Kelly throws a strike but Taylor avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Kelly trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Taylor seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Kelly trying to control the position from guard on top but Taylor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kelly gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Kelly shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Taylor wants to control but Kelly is having none of it. Kelly controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kelly wants to control the pace but Taylor is squirming around nicely. Kelly sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Kelly trying to control but he's not successful this time. Taylor tries to reverse the position but Kelly maintains control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kelly has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Taylor's face.
Kelly can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Taylor is looking to escape. Taylor tries to hold on but Kelly postures up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kelly scoring with strikes but Taylor is staying in there. Kelly fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Kelly wants to control the pace but Taylor is squirming around nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeff Kelly dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Taylor swats away the attempt to clinch by Kelly. Kelly tries to clinch up. Good work by Taylor as he checks the leg kick. Taylor tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Kelly counters with a takedown into side control. Kelly decides to stand up, so the ref orders Taylor to his feet. Kelly shoots in and drives through. Taylor sprawls well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Taylor darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Kelly is trying to control but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kelly tries to roll over but Taylor keeps him under control. Taylor seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kelly does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kelly keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Kelly looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Taylor is taking a breather. Kelly says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Kelly is staying active underneath Taylor, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Taylor content to control rather than advance. Kelly actively working from the bottom here. Kelly is trying to maintain the position but Taylor is very close to passing his half guard. Kelly is holding on to half guard well. Kelly actively working from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kelly manages to get to full guard.
Kelly seems keen to control Taylor's posture. Taylor must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kelly has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Taylor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Taylor wants to stand but Kelly has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kelly is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Jeff Kelly just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Taylor tries to clinch there but Kelly circles away.
Kelly tries to clinch up but Taylor circles away and keeps his distance. Taylor moves out of range as Kelly throws a body kick.
Kelly shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Taylor counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kelly! Kelly is trying desperately to improve position. Kelly manages to regain half guard. Good work. Kelly wants to control but Taylor is keeping busy and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jeff Kelly will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Taylor with a poor takedown and Kelly counters with a thumping low kick. Taylor clinches but Kelly breaks the clinch and Kelly counters with an outside leg kick.
Taylor tries a head kick but it misses.
Taylor tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kelly counters with a stiff right hand. Kelly throws the kick towards the body but Taylor avoids it. Taylor gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kelly counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Kelly pushing down on Taylor's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Taylor misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Taylor is trying to get back to full guard. Taylor is looking to control Kelly's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Taylor avoid being mounted? Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kelly is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Taylor doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kelly. Taylor tries to get to full guard but Kelly has control of the leg. Taylor is trying to control but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kelly misses with a series of wild punches.
Taylor darts in trying to clinch and Kelly counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Taylor's guard now. Taylor wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Kelly throwing strikes from guard but Taylor blocks nicely. Kelly trying to control but Taylor is working from the bottom. Taylor wants to stand and escape but Kelly is having none of it. Jeff Kelly overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kelly pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Taylor is keeping the position for now. Taylor is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kelly is controlling him.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kelly is looking to chop away at Taylor's legs. Taylor drives through and clinches with Kelly against the cage.

Kelly is trying to break free. Kelly on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Kelly is trying to break the clinch but Taylor has him pressed against the cage. Kelly jumps guard but Taylor stands there with Kelly around his waist. Kelly gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Taylor has hold of one of Kelly's legs. Kelly is fighting the takedown attempt but Taylor gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Taylor passes Kelly's left leg - he's now in half guard. Taylor trying to control the action but Kelly is working from the bottom. Kelly wants to control but Taylor is keeping busy.
Phil Taylor has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Taylor wants to work for an arm triangle but Kelly is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

And that's the end of the fight! Jeff Kelly showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kelly, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
