The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deuce is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hilliot's half guard.
Deuce tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Hilliot.
Hilliot is controlling Deuce's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Deuce trying to mount his opponent but Hilliot defends it.
Deuce wants to control but Hilliot is keeping him busy.
Deuce prevents Hilliot from improving his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Big Deuce.
Hilliot has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hilliot has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Deuce is trying to keep an underhook but Hilliot manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Deuce makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Deuce.

Hilliot would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Deuce bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hilliot's guard.
Hilliot really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Deuce. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hilliot has a closed guard, preventing Deuce from standing up.
Hilliot utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Deuce wants to stand but Hilliot is controlling his arm.

Hilliot wants to get back to his feet but Deuce is dominant here and he's now got Hilliot's back!

Deuce is really struggling to control Hilliot but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Deuce missing with punches from the back.
Even with his hooks in, Deuce manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Deuce trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Deuce scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hilliot doesn't seem bothered though.

Deuce tries to control but Hilliot wriggling away.
Deuce misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Hilliot is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Deuce can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hilliot is looking to escape.
Deuce throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Hilliot has his hands clasped together but Deuce breaks the hold and Hilliot is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Deuce!
