Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Hominick!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dunn gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Hominick looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Dunn wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Hominick can't get the takedown.
Hominick tries to work over Dunn's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Dunn manages to break the clinch.

Dunn shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dunn was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Hominick is looking to improve his position but Dunn isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dunn throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Hominick defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Dunn.
Dunn cracks Hominick with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Dunn lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Dunn tries to control but Hominick wriggling away.

Hominick tries to lock up and control but Dunn gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Dunn is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hominick is surviving well by controlling Dunn's body position as best he can.
Dunn wants to control the pace but Hominick is squirming around nicely.

Hominick tries to lock up and control but Dunn gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hominick keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Dunn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hominick on the ground.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Dunn is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hominick's half guard.
Dunn wants to pass the guard but Hominick is defending well.

Dunn seems to be working for a kimura but Hominick defends the submission attempt.

Hominick is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dunn pulls his head out easily.

Dunn is looking to take a break and control but Hominick is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hominick working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dunn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dunn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We're going to have a standup here because Ryan Dunn wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Dunn lands a nice shot that snaps Hominick's head back.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Dunn shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hominick defends it nicely.

Dunn looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hominick with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Dunn is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hominick is trying to maintain the position but Dunn is very close to passing his half guard.

Dunn is trying to control the action in half guard but Hominick is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Hominick keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Dunn wants to pass the guard but Hominick is defending well.
Dunn prevents Hominick from improving his position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dunn, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
