The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vergara clinches up against the cage.
Winner lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Bladie Vergara has been cut.
Vergara jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Winner walks away with a smile on his face. Vergara gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
The fighters circling - Winner throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Winner instigates a clinch.
Vergara tries to break free but Winner pushes him back against the cage.
Winner creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Vergara's defenses.
Winner lands a good knee to the midsection. Vergara won't want to take too many of those.
Vergara misses with a knee to the head.
Vergara tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Winner smiles and moves away.
Vergara throws a head kick that misses.
Vergara shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Winner counters with a three punch combo that has Vergara backing up. Vergara nods at Winner to acknowledge the strikes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bladie Vergara. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Winner jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Vergara clinches.
Vergara takes a knee right on the jaw!
Bladie Vergara's cut is getting worse.
Winner is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Vergara is working for takedown but Winner is calmly controlling the position for now.
Vergara is breathing heavily.
Winner lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Winner unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Winner gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Bladie Vergara's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bladie Vergara's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
