Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Esko Takanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conan Barbarian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Takanen.
A jab from Barbarian misses.
Barbarian with a poor takedown
and Takanen counters with a nice uppercut.
Barbarian throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Takanen was covering up waiting for the punch and Barbarian finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Takanen seems keen to control Barbarian's posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barbarian throws and elbow that misses. Takanen uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Barbarian's guard. Nice move by Takanen!

Takanen controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Takanen stands and throws Barbarian's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Barbarian is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Takanen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Barbarian manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Takanen gets to mount! Barbarian was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Takanen tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Takanen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Takanen cracks Barbarian with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Takanen is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Barbarian can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Takanen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Takanen counters with an outside leg kick.

Takanen cracks Barbarian with a right hand to the side of the head.

and Takanen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Barbarian takes the fight into the clinch.
Takanen lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Barbarian backwards.
Takanen prevents the takedown attempt.
Esko Takanen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Conan Barbarian.
Takanen breaks the clinch.
Barbarian swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Takanen counters with a nice low kick that buckles Barbarian's knee momentarily.
Takanen forces Barbarian back against the cage and clinches.
Takanen pushes Barbarian back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Takanen creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Barbarian changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Takanen fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Takanen stuns Barbarian with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Barbarian looks up at the clock. Bad move! Takanen lands a right hand from hell, dropping Barbarian. Takanen pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
