Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Murpy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Kazansky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murpy comes into the arena with Victory blaring out of the sound system. Kazansky has chosen Danger Zone as his entrance music. Tom Kazansky told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murpy throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kazansky tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Murpy is in Kazansky's guard. Murpy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Murpy working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kazansky's head. Kazansky trying to control the position.
Murpy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Murpy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Murpy lands a couple of digs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kazansky wants to stand but Murpy is controlling the position. Murpy wants to pass the guard but Kazansky is keeping the position. Murpy is working hard here to advance position. Kazansky scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. Murpy is thwarting Kazansky's attempts to control the position. Murpy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kazansky keeps working. Murpy is working for a submission of some sort.
Kazansky is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Murpy pulls his head out easily. Murpy is working for a kimura but Kazansky is defending it quite comfortably.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kazansky is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest. Kazansky misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Kazansky actively working from the bottom here. Kazansky looks gassed! Murpy works his foot free and advances to mount. Murpy working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Kazansky turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Murpy off and cradles Kazansky's limp body as Murpy celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Charlie Murpy!
