Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, adf b! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, KEVIN Dragula ! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Roberts and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dragula decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Dragula is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Dragula postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for b to stand up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dragula . b waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Dragula . The fight moves into the clinch position. Dragula has b pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. b manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. b wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. b wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dragula has him pressed against the cage. b manages to break the clinch.
b closes the distance and clinches. b has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Dragula is trying to keep an underhook but b manages to get the takedown into half guard. b prevents Dragula from improving his position. Dragula slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dragula seems keen to control b's posture. Dragula manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Dragula controlling his opponent. Dragula 's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. b tries to reverse the position but Dragula maintains control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Dragula jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… b is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by b and Dragula has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Dragula looks gassed! b can't do much from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. b tries to improve position but can't. Dragula tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Dragula has knee on belly momentarily but b bucks him off and regains half guard. Dragula prevents b from standing back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dragula takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Dragula prevents b from standing back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dragula fails to land the takedown. adf b has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of KEVIN Dragula . Dragula shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says b as he avoids it easily. b misses with a wild combination.

Despite being in the dominant position, KEVIN Dragula just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. b misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dragula .
b tests Dragula 's chin there with a solid looking shot. adf b is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dragula pushes b up against the cage in a clinch. b jumps guard but Dragula stands there with b around his waist. b gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics b uses from the top position. Dragula controlling b's posture. Dragula slows the pace down in half guard. b actively working from the bottom here. Dragula looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks b with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Dragula thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed b's head. KEVIN Dragula has got the better of the ground game so far. b trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Dragula sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Dragula thowing shots but they're missing. Dragula tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. KEVIN Dragula showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Dragula closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Dragula taking a break here but b is having none of it and regains half guard. b is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dragula scores with a couple of nice shots.

Dragula trying to control but b is working from the bottom. Dragula not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
