The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kimono is defended easily by Silva.
Silva wants to clinch but Kimono slips to the side
and Kimono counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kimono swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kimono takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Franek Kimono has been cut.
No luck for Kimono with that takedown attempt.
Silva darts in and clinches Kimono up against the cage.
