Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Osanti Herod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Doerkson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Herod might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Judith. James Doerkson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doerkson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Herod.
Doerkson throws the kick towards the body but Herod avoids it.
Doerkson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Herod throws a front kick that sends Doerkson stumbling back into the ropes.
Herod closes the distance and clinches.
Herod breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Herod has closed the distance and engaged Doerkson in a clinch.
Herod is pressed up against the ropes. Doerkson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Herod down to the mat. Herod avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Herod decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Herod swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Doerkson is now in Herod's guard. A big mistake from Herod there, giving up the dominant position!
Herod has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Doerkson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Herod.
Herod is looking to regain half guard here but Doerkson keeps moving and retains side control.

Doerkson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Oh Herod is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Doerkson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Herod is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
