Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters tries to clinch up
and Drake connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Peters avoids the head kick by Drake.
Peters blocks a head kick by Drake.
Drake throws a sloppy head kick and Peters moves out of range easily.
Peters tries for a takedown but Drake sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Peters shoots and misses
and Drake counters with a head kick.
Drake tries a head kick but it misses.
Peters works over Drake's head and body with a nice combination.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Peters fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Steven Drake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Peters.
Peters tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Drake counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Peters lands with a shot to the body.
Peters shoots for a double leg takedown but Drake sprawls well. He's pushed Peters's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Peters shoots in looking for a takedown but Drake manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Peters's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Drake throws a head kick that misses.
Drake lands a big head kick that sends Peters to the canvas! Drake follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
