Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tiger Palm! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rick Carter! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palm fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carter manages to avoid it. Palm swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Palm falls off balance throwing a combination
and Carter counters with a straight right hand. Palm throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Carter counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Palm lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Rick Carter has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Palm throws a right hand that Carter ducks under and follows up with a left that Carter also avoids with ease. Palm misses with the combination.
Palm throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Palm swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Palm waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Carter. Carter avoids a punch combination nicely.

Carter scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Carter is trying to get an arm triangle but Palm is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Palm tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Carter wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Carter advances nicely into full mount. Carter looking for a guillotine from mount but Palm is having none of it. Carter goes for an armbar but Palm turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Palm. Palm is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Carter is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Carter has escaped and now he's on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Palm dives on top into guard. Carter manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Palm regains half guard. Palm looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Palm is breathing heavily. Palm is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter moves nicely into side control. Palm is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Carter is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Palm has escaped the position, nice work there. Carter working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Palm tries to get back to half guard but can't. Carter advances to full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Palm is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Palm has left one of his arms exposed and Carter doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Palm screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
