Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Cena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cena tries to clinch but Thompson is having none of it.
Cena clinches up against the cage.
Cena will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Thompson up against the cage.
Thompson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Thompson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cena looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Cena shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Thompson tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Thompson is pressing down on Cena's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Thompson keeping moving, preventing Cena from controlling successfully.

Thompson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cena can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Thompson wants to sweep but no luck.
Thompson has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Cena should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Thompson has tightened it up now! Cena should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
