Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dennis DeYoung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zbigniew Stulejka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeYoung closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Stulejka did well to prevent DeYoung getting side control. DeYoung sitting and controlling from the half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. DeYoung working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. DeYoung moves into full mount! Stulejka won't be happy about that!

DeYoung lands a nice shot to the head. DeYoung controlling the position easily from mount. DeYoung's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

DeYoung utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. DeYoung had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stulejka defends it easily. DeYoung has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stulejka can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stulejka postures up in DeYoung's guard and throws a big left but DeYoung blocks it. Stulejka postures up.
DeYoung manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Stulejka manages to get himself to full guard.
Stulejka is looking to stand up but DeYoung isn't so interested in that idea. DeYoung is stalling in the full guard. DeYoung trying to control the position from guard on top but Stulejka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Stulejka wants to get back to his feet but DeYoung is in a dominant position and won't allow it. DeYoung is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. DeYoung trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dennis DeYoung. DeYoung closes the distance and pushes Stulejka back into the cage. Stulejka is trying to break the clinch but DeYoung has him pressed against the cage. Stulejka trying to stall but DeYoung improves his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We're going to have a standup here because Dennis DeYoung wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. DeYoung closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. DeYoung stands and steps away. Stulejka gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Stulejka lands a nice short elbow. DeYoung tries to get to full guard but Stulejka has control of the leg. Stulejka not landing any meaningful shots this time. DeYoung kicks Stulejka off and gets back to his feet. A telegraphed takedown attempt from DeYoung is defended easily by Stulejka. Stulejka thows a leg kick but DeYoung checks it and DeYoung counters with a nice double leg into side control. Stulejka won't be happy with that. DeYoung has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Stulejka takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. DeYoung trying to control the action but Stulejka is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeYoung is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Stulejka's shoulder. That is not cool. Stulejka is looking for a sweep. DeYoung thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Stulejka tries to escape but DeYoung is in control. DeYoung content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. The strikes coming from DeYoung are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. DeYoung controls the position. DeYoung stands up. DeYoung feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Zbigniew Stulejka has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dennis DeYoung is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. DeYoung's corner is telling him to maintain position. DeYoung advances to half guard. DeYoung decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Dennis DeYoung showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for DeYoung, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
