Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zak Simmons!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons tries for a takedown but Negrizolli circles away easily
and Negrizolli counters with a nice uppercut.
Negrizolli falls off balance throwing a combination
and Simmons counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Negrizolli!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Negrizolli tries to hold on but Simmons pushes him away.
Simmons postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Negrizolli looks a forlorn figure.
Negrizolli is desperately trying to improve his position but Simmons has a good base and remains in mount.
Simmons really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Negrizolli. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Simmons blocks Negrizolli's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

It looks like Lucas Negrizolli has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Simmons scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Negrizolli is rocked!
Negrizolli wants to hold on but Simmons pushes him away.
Simmons postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Negrizolli in real trouble here! The ref calls for Negrizolli to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
