Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Liam Procter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcel Cerdan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Procter comes to the cage accompanied by Wild Boys- Hardcore Superstar. Cerdan has chosen French National Anthem as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Liam Procter! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Marcel Cerdan! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Cerdan.
Procter moves to clinch but Cerdan breaks away and Cerdan counters with a right hand to the body. Cerdan swings for the body but Procter moves out of range.
Procter looks to clinch and Cerdan counters with a left to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Procter tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Cerdan counters with a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Procter tries to clinch up and Cerdan counters with a stiff right hand. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Cerdan circles away from the clinch attempt and Cerdan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The crowd cheers as Cerdan lands an impressive looking overhand right. Procter doesn't seem phased though. Nice shot lands for Cerdan. Procter misses with a double jab.
Cerdan circles away from the clinch attempt and Cerdan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Procter fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cerdan avoids it really well and circles away. Procter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cerdan sprawls well. Cerdan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Procter gets slowly back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Procter moves to clinch but Cerdan breaks away and Cerdan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A jab from Cerdan misses. Cerdan lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Procter closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cerdan circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Liam Procter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cerdan misses with a body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcel Cerdan dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cerdan can do anything to dispel that myth. Cerdan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Procter is controlling him. Procter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Procter is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Procter trying to control but Cerdan is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Procter throws a big right hand that misses. Cerdan wants to stand but Procter is controlling the position. Cerdan keeping full guard, as Procter tries to pass. Procter wants to control from the top but Cerdan keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Liam Procter has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Cerdan works Procter's body with a nice hook. Procter ducks under a wild hook from Cerdan. Procter wants to clinch but Cerdan slips to the side and Cerdan counters with a lovely shot to the body. Procter tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Cerdan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cerdan swings widly with a right hand
and Procter counters with a shoot takedown. Cerdan fights it but they end up in guard. Cerdan keeping full guard, as Procter tries to pass. Procter advances to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Procter is trying to control. Cerdan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
