Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Liam Procter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcel Cerdan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Procter comes to the cage accompanied by Wild Boys- Hardcore Superstar. Cerdan has chosen French National Anthem as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Cerdan.
Procter moves to clinch but Cerdan breaks away
and Cerdan counters with a right hand to the body.
Cerdan swings for the body but Procter moves out of range.
Procter looks to clinch
and Cerdan counters with a left to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Procter tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Cerdan counters with a nice uppercut.

The crowd cheers as Cerdan lands an impressive looking overhand right. Procter doesn't seem phased though.

Procter fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cerdan avoids it really well and circles away.
Procter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cerdan sprawls well. Cerdan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Procter gets slowly back to his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

and Cerdan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Procter closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cerdan circles away.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Procter feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cerdan can do anything to dispel that myth.
