Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Shelton Naysmith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mikael Ohbladi! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Naysmith tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ohbladi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Naysmith throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Naysmith takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Naysmith misses with a left hand and Ohbladi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ohbladi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Naysmith has time to react. Naysmith throws an off balance right hand
and Ohbladi counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Naysmith misses with a hook
and Ohbladi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Shelton Naysmith has been cut. Naysmith throws a right hand that misses
and Ohbladi counters with a two punch combo. Ohbladi lands with a good body shot. Naysmith swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ohbladi. Ohbladi slaps away a takedown attempt from Naysmith, before circling back to the center of the mat. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ohbladi dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Naysmith throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Ohbladi to counter with a crisp jab. Naysmith looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Ohbladi lands with a right hand. Naysmith rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ohbladi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Naysmith is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Naysmith throws an off balance right hand
and Ohbladi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Ohbladi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Naysmith takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Ohbladi lands with a nice combination. Naysmith backs away looking to recover. Naysmith on the wrong end of a nice jab. Mikael Ohbladi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ohbladi dips to his left and cracks Naysmith with an uppercut! Ohbladi lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Naysmith sprawling to the canvas. Ohbladi follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Naysmith hang on?
Naysmith is rocked!
Shelton Naysmith's cut is getting worse. Naysmith trying to hold on to Ohbladi's head to control him but Ohbladi postures up.
Oh Naysmith is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Ohbladi tries to stand and escape but Naysmith is controlling the position. Naysmith seems to have got his legs back now.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ohbladi scores with a hook. Ohbladi has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Ohbladi lands a nice shot to the body.

Ohbladi connects with a body shot that sends Naysmith's belly button to the back. Naysmith has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Naysmith there as he acknowledges the shot. Ohbladi bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Naysmith's head. Naysmith is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Ohbladi darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Shelton Naysmith's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Naysmith throws an off balance right hand
and Ohbladi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ohbladi punishes Naysmith's body with a nice straight punch. Ohbladi's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Ohbladi duly obliges. Naysmith takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Naysmith is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Ohbladi stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Jeez, Shelton Naysmith's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ohbladi throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Naysmith tumbling to the canvas!
Naysmith is rocked! Ohbladi trying to stand up but can't free himself from Naysmith's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mikael Ohbladi hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Ohbladi connects with a body shot. Naysmith misses with a body punch
and Ohbladi counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ohbladi scores with a sloppy right hand. Naysmith should have avoided that one.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Shelton Naysmith's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Mikael Ohbladi!
