Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Noham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hayatoshi Sakutara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Noham comes to the ring accompanied by Chase The Devil. Hayatoshi Sakutara has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hayatoshi Sakutara!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noham throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Thomas Noham seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sakutara has a takedown stuffed.

Noham drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Sakutara keeping moving, preventing Noham from controlling successfully.

Sakutara has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Noham can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sakutara wants to sweep here but Noham controlling him for the moment.

Noham thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Sakutara is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sakutara is pressing down on Noham's thigh, looking to free his foot. Noham is holding on for now.

Sakutara is working for a kimura but Noham is defending it quite comfortably.

Sakutara seems to be looking for submissions.
Sakutara tries to pass to full mount but Noham defends it.
Noham wants to improve his position but Sakutara is controlling well.
Sakutara wants to control but Noham is keeping him busy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Sakutara is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Noham doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sakutara.
Sakutara wants to free his trapped foot but Noham is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Noham on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Noham tries to get out of the position.

Noham throws a nice looking combination but Sakutara bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Noham counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Noham.

Noham wants to control from the top but Sakutara keeps moving.
Noham is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Sakutara wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Noham is now in half guard.

Noham shoots in but Sakutara avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Noham counters with a shoot takedown. Sakutara fights it but they end up in guard.

Sakutara wants to advance to full mount but Noham doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Noham bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sakutara's guard.

Noham lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Sakutara is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Noham keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sakutara's head.


It looks like Hayatoshi Sakutara has been cut.
Noham trying to control but Sakutara is working from the bottom.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Noham postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Sakutara should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Noham won't allow Sakutara to sweep him here.

Noham keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sakutara's head.
Noham has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Noham is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Sakutara is looking for a triangle but Noham pushes his legs off easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Noham slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Sakutara working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Noham doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Noham manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Noham is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Sakutara has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Noham is looking to defend but Sakutara has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Noham! Sakutara pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Noham taps out and this one is all over!
