Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Niko Belic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz shoots and misses
and Diaz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Diaz swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Belic cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Diaz looks gassed!
Belic shoots in and bounces Diaz off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Belic drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Belic jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Belic stands and throws Diaz's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Diaz is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Belic asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Belic tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Belic has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Belic thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Belic is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Diaz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Belic wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Diaz, who protects the arm well.

Belic is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Diaz has escaped the position, nice work there.
Belic tries for a kimura but Diaz is defending well.

Diaz is trying to get back to his feet.

Diaz is looking to stand up but Belic isn't so interested in that idea.

Belic seems to be working for a kimura but Diaz defends the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Belic is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Diaz is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
