Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mikhail Ligachev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phillip McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Phillip McGee was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Ligachev checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
McGee slips under a jab.

McGee takes a swing at Ligachev's ribcage but misses.
McGee lands with a kick to the temple. Ligachev shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

McGee motions for Ligachev to come forward. McGee throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Ligachev is looking to wear down McGee with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Ligachev takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ligachev feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to McGee's calf.
McGee tests Ligachev's chin there with a solid looking shot.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ligachev is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

McGee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ligachev swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McGee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

McGee drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says McGee as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Ligachev screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with McGee! Nice submission victory there!
