Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heydar Zahedani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximus Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Heydar Zahedani!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Maximus Frost!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Frost instigates a clinch.

The fight stays on the outside here - Frost looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Zahedani shoots for a double leg takedown but Frost sprawls well. He's pushed Zahedani's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
No joy there for Frost, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Maximus Frost seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Frost rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zahedani moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Zahedani avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Frost throws a nice looking combination but Zahedani bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Zahedani shoots in and drives through. Frost sprawls well.
Zahedani takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Frost closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Zahedani is trying to control the position but Frost postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Frost wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Zahedani manages to pass to side control.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Frost is desperately trying to improve his position but Zahedani has a good base and remains in mount.
Frost wants to control but Zahedani is having none of it.

Frost reaches up and holds on to Zahedani to control the position.
Frost tries to lock up and control but Zahedani gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Zahedani is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Frost has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Frost!
Frost lands a couple of digs.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Frost's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Frost has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Zahedani is proving hard to escape from.

Frost stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zahedani swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Frost really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zahedani. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Frost drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Maximus Frost dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Frost plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Zahedani takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

and Frost counters with a one-two to the body.
Frost keeps Zahedani at a distance using the push kick.

Zahedani decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Frost is trying to stand up here but Zahedani is controlling him well.

Zahedani is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Zahedani shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Frost's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Frost is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Frost uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Frost throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Frost lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Frost lands a head kick. Zahedani smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Frost lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Oh Zahedani is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Zahedani closes the distance and clinches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Heydar Zahedani. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Frost gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Frost tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Zahedani.
Frost wants to take a breather but Zahedani is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Maximus Frost will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Zahedani with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Frost to score with a decent uppercut.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Frost bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Zahedani's guard.

Zahedani escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Frost gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Frost must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Frost is sitting in close to Zahedani's body. Zahedani has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Frost is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Frost is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Zahedani.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Heydar Zahedani!
