Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shin Nara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Doherty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doherty has chosen You can't stand me now as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shin Nara! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pete Doherty! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doherty leaves Nara with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Doherty throws a lazy uppercut
and Nara counters with a lovely straight right hand! A looping hook to the body misses from Nara. Doherty does a little dance to reset his feet. Nara tries to move into range but Doherty moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Nara misses the shot to the body. Nara swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Doherty counters with a low kick, right behind Nara 's knee. Nara throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Doherty. Doherty throws a right hand that misses
enabling Nara to counter with a crisp jab. Nara throws a series of punches but Doherty moves out of range. Doherty fails to land the takedown. Shin Nara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nara fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nara fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Doherty dodges the punch combination from Nara.
Nara lands with an uppercut that bounces Doherty off the cage and back into rage. Doherty wants to land a leg kick but Nara is out of range. Doherty shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Nara counters with a right hand to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doherty stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Doherty wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shin Nara. That's going to take a lot out of him. Doherty takes a jab right on the kisser.
Nara misses with a takedown and Doherty counters by moving into the clinch. A shot in the inside from Doherty. Nara is working for takedown but Doherty is calmly controlling the position for now. Nara has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Doherty avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Nara tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Doherty lands a shoulder strike. Nara tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Doherty smiles and moves away.
Nara lands with an uppercut that bounces Doherty off the cage and back into rage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doherty is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Doherty clinches. Doherty lands a body shot. Nara tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Doherty smiles and moves away.
Doherty lands with a right hand. Doherty shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nara swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Doherty shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nara's guard. Nara wants to sweep here but Doherty controlling him for the moment. Doherty stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nara swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nara throws his legs up looking for a submission but Doherty uses it to pass to side control.
Nara is looking for a sweep. Doherty is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Doherty dominated that round. That's time! Nara's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Doherty is looking to slow Nara down with leg kicks. Doherty gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Nara counters with a single leg into guard. Doherty didn't expect that. Nara stopping the sweep attempt from Doherty. Doherty is controlling Nara's posture. Nara trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Nara trying to control but Doherty is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doherty has his hands on Nara's head, controlling the position. Nara got a little sloppy there for a moment and Doherty has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nara has managed to get both his arms back between Doherty's legs - danger averted. Nara avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Nara has gone for a leg lock! Doherty slips out almost immediately though and dives into Nara's guard. Doherty postures up.
Doherty working some strikes from top position. Doherty drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nara looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nara looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nara! Nara wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Doherty, who protects the arm well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doherty struggling a bit here. Doherty regains half guard. Nara looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Doherty is looking to improve his position.
Doherty trying to hold on to Nara's head to control him but Nara postures up.
Doherty looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Doherty wants to get back to full guard. Nara passes to full mount! Nara trying to control but Doherty is having none of it. Doherty wants to hold on but Nara pushes him away. Nara tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Doherty can't escape the position.
Nara looking to control but Doherty is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Nara is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Doherty is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shin Nara dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Doherty takes a swing at Nara's ribcage but misses. Nara avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Nara shoots in looking for a takedown. Doherty tries to sprawl out of it but Nara keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Doherty manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Doherty looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nara is fending him off so far but Doherty persists. Nope, Nara circles away and we're back to standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nara swings for the body but Doherty moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nara misses the shot to the body. Nara falls off balance throwing a combination
and Doherty counters with a stiff right hand. Doherty throws a big shot that misses. Nara throws a poor cross that misses
and Doherty counters with a nice low kick that buckles Nara's knee momentarily. Doherty misses with an uppercut
and Nara counters with a three punch combo that has Doherty backing up. Doherty nods at Nara to acknowledge the strikes. Doherty punishes Nara's body with a nice straight punch. Doherty rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Nara cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Shin Nara is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Doherty keeping moving, preventing Nara from controlling successfully. Nara stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Doherty swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nara slips nicely into half guard. Nara wants to work for an arm triangle but Doherty is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Shin Nara overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Doherty is looking for a sweep. Nara is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Nara wants to pass to mount but Doherty is defending the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Doherty is positioning himself well to prevent Nara advancing to mount. Doherty has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nara is working away from the top position though. Nara is looking for a kimura here.
Doherty flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Nara is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Doherty sees it coming and defends easily. Nara is trying to work for a kimura but Doherty is defending well.
And that's the end of the fight! Shin Nara showed his dominance in that final round. I think Nara has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
