The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harris scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Harris working away. Harris wants to control but Kennedy is keeping him busy. Harris working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Kennedy is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Harris is trying a forearm choke
I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Harris is looking for a kimura but Kennedy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Harris to get the leverage. Kennedy regains full guard. Nicely done. Kennedy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Kennedy doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Harris . Kennedy looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Kennedy regains full guard. Nicely done. Kennedy working a defensive guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kennedy is looking for a triangle but Harris pushes his legs off easily.
Harris wants to control from the top but Kennedy keeps moving. Harris wants to pass the guard but Kennedy is keeping the position. Harris is breathing heavily. Kennedy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Harris defends well. Harris got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kennedy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Harris has managed to get both his arms back between Kennedy's legs - danger averted. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kennedy is looking for a triangle but Harris pushes his legs off easily.

Harris struggling a bit here. Kennedy is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Harris is trying to escape and Kennedy transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Harris is forced to tap! Nice work there by Kennedy! Very nice indeed!
