Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Takashi Katsumoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Christmas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Christmas's choice of entrance music: Ironman. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Takashi Katsumoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vincent Christmas! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Lou da Vinci and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Katsumoto misses with an uppercut. Christmas saw that one coming. Katsumoto cracks the inside of Christmas's front leg. Christmas shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Katsumoto as he jumps to the side. Christmas takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Christmas fails with the takedown and Katsumoto counters with a good low kick that Christmas was not able to check. Christmas closes the distance and clinches up with Katsumoto, looking for a takedown. Christmas pushes Katsumoto against the cage but Katsumoto circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Katsumoto throws a front kick that sends Christmas stumbling back into the cage. Katsumoto dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Christmas. That did some damage! Katsumoto looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Christmas moves forwards but Katsumoto connects with a nice, crisp jab. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Katsumoto lands a leg kick that knocks Christmas off balance momentarily. Katsumoto is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Katsumoto feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Christmas's calf. Katsumoto lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Christmas might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Katsumoto has got the better of the exchanges.
