Russell fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Russell throws a right and a left that Perez avoids nicely.
Russell cracks Perez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Sloppy strikes from Russell. Those never looked like landing.
Perez on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Perez is breathing heavily.
Some wild striking there from Russell.
Russell fails in his attempt to clinch.
No joy there for Russell, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Perez slips a jab and a cross from Russell.
Russell pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Perez back to the cage. Russell follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Russell scores with a three punch combo!
Perez looks for a takedown but Russell sprawls well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kyle Russell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Russell throws a right hand that Perez ducks under and follows up with a left that Perez also avoids with ease.
Perez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Russell lands a jab to the head.
Russell lands with a right that hurts Perez. Perez looks to clinch but Russell throws a short knee that drops Perez. This one is all over!
