Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Shinya Aoki!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roberts looks to clinch
and Aoki counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Aoki tries to land a front kick but Roberts steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Roberts looks for the body kick but Aoki saw that one coming.
Aoki scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Aoki takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Aoki thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Roberts's head.
Aoki is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Roberts wants to get back to full guard but Aoki has mounted him!
Roberts is desperately trying to improve his position but Aoki has a good base and remains in mount.
Aoki sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Roberts wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Aoki.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Aoki is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Roberts can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Roberts is working to get back to half guard.

Let's hope that Aoki has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Roberts holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Aoki tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Aoki content just to control the position here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Roberts reaches up to try and control the position but Aoki seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Roberts rolls and tries to escape and now Aoki has his back!
Aoki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Aoki sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Roberts taps out!
