The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson motions for Rossi to come forward. Johnson throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Rossi avoids the body shot from Johnson.
Johnson looks to score with a jab to the body but Rossi is just out of range.
Johnson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rossi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Isaac Johnson has been cut.
Rossi will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Johnson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Rossi wants to clinch.
Johnson is looking to chop away at Rossi's legs.
Johnson swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Rossi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Johnson throws a lazy uppercut
and Rossi counters with a left and a right that hurts Johnson! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Rossi jumps into full mount!
Johnson is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rossi postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Johnson is out cold - huge knockout for Rossi!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Michael Rossi!
