Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Draybil Guetzlaff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Stalit!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Guetzlaff. Those never looked like landing.
Guetzlaff wants to clinch
and Stalit counters with a nice uppercut.
Stalit staying out of range there.

Stalit drives through with a takedown into guard.

Stalit postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Guetzlaff is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Stalit, into his guard.
Guetzlaff has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Guetzlaff passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stalit looks gassed!

Guetzlaff wants to pass to mount but Stalit is defending the position.
Guetzlaff seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guetzlaff's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Draybil Guetzlaff wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Guetzlaff fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Stalit is out of range.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Guetzlaff.
Guetzlaff controls the position from side control.

Guetzlaff is trying to get an arm triangle but Stalit is defending well.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Guetzlaff advances nicely into full mount.

Guetzlaff seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Stalit for as long as he can get away with.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Draybil Guetzlaff has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Guetzlaff instigates a clinch.
Guetzlaff controlling the action here for a moment.

Guetzlaff has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Stalit regains guard immediately.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Draybil Guetzlaff dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Guetzlaff has hold of Stalit's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Stalit tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Guetzlaff cranks the arm and Stalit screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Stalit, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Draybil Guetzlaff!
