Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Cramor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronaldo Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrew Cramor has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Cramor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ronaldo Souza!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cramor wants to clinch but Souza slips to the side
and Souza counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Souza fails with the takedown

and Cramor counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Cramor tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Souza.
Cramor wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Souza uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Souza has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Cramor tries to free his leg and advance position but Souza is retaining full guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Andrew Cramor just wasn't active enough.

Cramor shoots in and bounces Souza off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Cramor seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Andrew Cramor.
Souza shoots and misses

and Cramor counters with a nice double leg into side control. Souza won't be happy with that.
Cramor tries to stand but Souza is controlling his head.

Cramor tries to move to full mount but Souza actually manages to regain half guard.
Cramor is looking to stall here but Souza recovers full guard.

Cramor postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Souza is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cramor, into his guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Souza stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cramor swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cramor looking for a sweep. Not yet Cramor, not yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrew Cramor dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Cramor tries to clinch but Souza moves away

and Souza counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Souza passes Cramor's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Souza is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cramor doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Souza.

Cramor trying to hold on to Souza's head to control him but Souza postures up.
Souza looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Cramor is pressing down on Souza's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Souza stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cramor swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cramor is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cramor is positioning himself well to prevent Souza advancing to mount.
Cramor is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Souza's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Souza's back!

Souza is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Cramor is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Souza finds himself mounted whilst avoiding strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Cramor stands up from mount. Strange move.
Souza shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Cramor counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cramor.
Cramor tries to stand but Souza is controlling from the bottom.
Cramor wants to stand and escape but instead Souza has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Andrew Cramor will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Cramor darts in trying to clinch

and Souza counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Cramor!

Souza is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Cramor has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Cramor!

Cramor wants to stand and escape but instead Souza has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Andrew Cramor is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Andrew Cramor overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Souza drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cramor manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Souza has Cramor in his guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Cramor is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Ronaldo Souza has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Andrew Cramor has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Cramor shoots in and gets a takedown into Souza's guard.

Souza is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

And that's the end of the fight!
Andrew Cramor showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cramor, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
