Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Batistuta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samoa Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Batistuta might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Guns N' Roses: Knocking On Heavens Door. Gabriel Batistuta has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gabriel Batistuta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Samoa Joe!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joe drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Joe throws a strike aimed at the side of Batistuta's head but Batistuta avoids it well.

Samoa Joe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Well Joe has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
